Introduction:  The Old Brewery, located in the centre of Borgorose, is where in 2005 the great Birra del Borgo adventure started. For several years we used to work every day in the original plant: here some of our most famous recipes – like ReAle, Duchessa and My Antonia - were born.

In February 2010 we opened our new brewery, only a few kilometres from Borgorose, with a bigger production line. This enabled us to meet the growing demand (by now from all over the world) for Birra del Borgo. So, after the first, glorious years, we had to move from the small site where it all had started.

But we couldn't abandon it. Instead of dismantling the Old Brewery, we decided to keep using it, transforming it in our own workshop: an almost magical place, where we could set our fantasy free with extreme recipes, not for the faint-hearted.

Today the Old Brewery still plays an active part in all of Birra del Borgo activities. It is a special place where we create fairly unusual beers, born out of our own crazy ideas or other fellow brewers' concoctions and sudden flashes of genius. The Old Brewery also works as a foundry for our new projects, where we test our new recipes before introducing them in our main range.

The truth is, we couldn't be brewers without exploiting our creativity. As well as Birra del Borgo couldn't exist without the Old Brewery.
