Chinese Nutrition Society (CNS)
Introduction: Chinese Nutrition Society (CNS) is a nation-wide, academic, non-profit and independent social entity organization dedicated to bring the professionals of nutrition science together to advance the scientific study of nutrition, as well as serving the society by improving the nation’s nutritional status.
CNS is a unit of the China Association for Science and Technology, adhering to the Ministry of Health China，and is under the supervision of the Ministry of Civil Affairs China. At present, CNS has over 15,000 members working in the field of research, teaching, disease control, medicine, food science and agriculture etc. In order to improve international communication, the society joined the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) and the Federation of Asian Nutrition Societies (FANS) in the1980’s.
