Introduction: Siam Modified Starch Co., Ltd. was established in 1985 as a joint venture between three international corporations; a Thai company which oversees administration and domestic marketing; a Dutch firm with a reputation as the world’s largest manufacturer of potato-based starch products; and the largest manufacturer of modified starch in Japan.

At present, Poonphol Co., Ltd., and Matsutani Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. are our shareholders. The integrated strengths of the joint venture can leverage the company’s competitive capacity at the international level and maintain the position as a leader in the production of high quality modified tapioca starch products both nationally and internationally.

Siam Modified Starch Co., Ltd. creates international-modified tapioca starch products utilizing indigenously produced agricultural raw materials in combination with modern technology and quality manufacturing processes. One of Asia-Pacific's major producers and exporters of tapioca starches derivatives. Siam Modified Starch and our group company also add value to living standards of many Thai farmers and their families, whose lives are directly supported by the company's activities.

Siam Modified Starch Co., Ltd. produces modified tapioca starch for supply to customers in Thailand as well as for export to destinations including the USA, Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Currently the company exports the majority of its total output.
