Introduction: The COPAM - Companhia Portuguesa de Starches, SA is a private company incorporated on July 21, 1937 (Government Gazette No. 174/III of July 28, 1937).
The COPAM produces and sells starch products using corn as feedstock.
The main products manufactured are: starch, glucose syrup, glucose-fructose syrup and dextrose.
Co-products produced are: corn gluten feed, corn gluten meal and corn germ .
Technological processes used in all production lines are adopted internationally counterparts in factories, factory laboring under continuous (24 hours a day, 7 days / week).
All of its production is sold to other industries, the main ones being: soft drinks, antibiotics, beer, paper, confectionery, corrugated cardboard, oils, animal feed.
